So, RISD has kept me very busy. Tired. I'm not sure I remember what it feels like to fall asleep before 3...BUTTTTTT this weekend I was in NYC which was fabulous and after spending the weekend with two parisians I discovered that I was born to be french. Magnolia cupcakes are divine...Sex and the City tours (dont worry I didnt go on it) make me laugh. I was not impressed by topshop. My wallet is empty. Screaming Mimis is explosively amazing. I got this dress there... envy me. goodnight.

So. Pretty much I haven't updated in a long time... ya. I have been at Rhode Island School of Design for the summer which is pretty much the greatest experience I have ever had thus far. There are amazing vintage/random shops around here (not as good as wicker park but eh...) and there are student thrown rummage sales like pretty much every day (art school kids have cool shit.) I have just been way too busy settling in and getting into a rhythm that I just havent had a chance to take pictures... However, I have now met some remarkable invidiuals who I know will be super helpful in the burlawging process. I spend too much money at american apparel. kay.

A few weeks ago I did a fun photo shoot with Verse... a very rad boutique in wicker park. They have a good combination of vintage and designer pieces there and great prices. Here are just some of the pictures that came out of that day. It was freeeeezing so if I look a little stiff I apologize.

Where is summer?!?!?!?

Oh my gosh. School is STILL not out for me..two days of finals left, and I have just been too busy to wear legit clothes, let alone take pictures of me in legit clothes...sweatpants have been my saving grace pretty much. These pictures are from last saturday.. e and myself went to a local prairie path and discovered a fort..cool stuff. I went ghost hunting the night that these were taken and was pretty unsuccessful, but it was still a fun adventure. Ugh. Adding to the complete drag of still being in school is the weather that has kept me in jackets...in june...insane. but hmm what else? oh! read me talk pretty one day by david sedaris...its brilliant.. I just finished chapter one but i literally laughed out loud almost the whole time. Hmmm well I know these boots have been in pretty much every picture of me but we're still in the honeymoon stage of our relationship so deal.

The Jew at the monastery.

Went to this abandoned monastery near my house with eelan and our friend Sam yesterday. It was probably the most beautiful place I hace seen in the Chicago land area and I plan to frequent it often. Its surrounded by fields all leading down a hill to this stunninf little lake and I was completely in heaven. EXCEPT for the fact that it was haunted. Oh. My. Damn. Dude. This place was scary as schnikes alothough it didnt help that Sam decided to tell horrible stories that he had both head and experienced...oh boys...

Sunday at the mill.

These pictures were taken at a creek near my house. A friend and I go there every sunday to talk and think and start the day off right. It's so beautiful surrounded by majestic trees (as displayed in the second picture.) Next week we're going to try fishing here and I can't wait! ({[and on a total side note..I. LOVE. MY. NEW. Unfortunately I don't have any photos of me personally from today. However I went shopping in Wicker Park and got these wonderful boots! The picture doesn't really do them justice but oh how I love them. Trying to get my sleeping patterns somewhat normal so that's all for now!

I played hooky to write a paper today.

Now that I'm done writing about the world's most deceptive novel- seriously..don't even get me started about the subtle racism involved with this book that "exposed the dark side of the Congo."- I thought I would enjoy the friday afternoon sun. It's shaping up to be a wonderful friday.. ditching school, hanging out with eelan, meeting up with a friend for sorbet, and then meeting up with some more for a movie..wonderful!

I love this sweater. It's a size XL and I am super strangely proud of that... also the fact that I got it at Ann Taylor when I went in there to shop for my mom... also the fact that it was 85% off and I therefore got it for $4. As much as I wish I could continue my sweater diatribe, I should probably write my essay on Heart of Darkness..due date: tomorrow.
