The Third Iteration.

I have now twice tried my hand at "Blogging" and been less than successful. However, (and as much as I hate idioms) the third time's the charm? With each of my failures I have reached helpful realizations that will help me ensure success..

Realization from attempted blog #1 (personal style blog): Vanity aint cute. It's hard to maintain a blog entirely dedicated to personal style unless you are truly the world's mooost vapid and shallow bitch.

Realization from attemped blog #2: Let your blog flow like your mind. If your mind in a scary heap of constant jabber, (as mine is) dont attempt some scary organizational format that is too complicated to follow and takes the fun out of documentation.

I actually feel that there were some nice bits here and there, so my last two blogs have been combined to make this new blog, on which I will continue to post.. I will!!

This is really for me, more than anything else. I need to get better at documentation. I am constantly surrounded by people, places, ideas and images that I find really inspiring in the moment, but most of it gets washed away with the flow of life/time/distractions.

I will say that if you happen to read what I post/like what you read then tha's coo' too.

Hey, it's october 1st.

I Will.

Miss you.
I feel like I am all alone in my loyalty to the most ridiculous show on Television. Bye bye betty! My wednesdays will never be the same.

I watch.

STYLE.COM videos
The first time I heard LaRoux's single Bulletproof was on MTV, I therefore was not part of that group of individuals who can say that they "discovered" the cool brit pop group, but I knew immediately that I really liked them. Front-woman Elly Jackson sits down and talks about her personal style- girl does red heads proud.
I want to be you?
Beth Ditto is probably the best example of someone rocking MAD curves and a killer style. Beth Ditto, I salute you.
My cousin Kim, my idol. I knew I loved Sonic Youth even before I knew their intimate ties with fashion industry royalty.

I smell.

Spring.

Took these when on a walk. Spring can make even the suburbs of Chicago more beautiful.

I like.

Chanel Temporary Tattoos.

I have officially jumped on the bandwagon full force. I am obsessed with the fact that I can have more tattoos without having to experience the pain of a real one all over again. And when you are sick of them, just give a good scrub. Fantastic!

The Jersey Shore

I dont care what anyone says.. I love it! I could not be more excited for season 2 and when I saw that the boys had paired up with Terry Richardson for an Interview Magazine shoot, that excitement reached it's peak. Watch behind the scenes footage of all the fun here

I figured this would be a good outlet to put some of the pieces
that I have done out there in addition to the posts about things I like...

Music/Film: Yo La Tengo on the street in France

All of these "take away shows" are amazing. And I can only
hope to get stuck on the street while one is being filmed one day.

Knowing full well that I sound like a creeper, and even though children freak me out.. the shots of the two kids at the beginning and throughout are undeniably beautiful... k. enough munchkin love.

The most beautiful creations ever to have been made by lumberjacks.

Film: More.

I think I need to post more than just my own movies.
Having a blog is super theraputic, so I want to keep up
with it... but it is just too much trouble to constantly
be making movies.. and i really doubt that people would be
too fascinated with documentations of my life when for the
most part all I do is sit in schoool. My originals will
continue but as of now this blog is really just about
anything cool... enjoy!

Film: Two minutes till Monday

So I tried to have a blog before... It was mostly just inspired by Rumi, Karla, and the like. But as much as I love fashion, I felt really vain taking pictures of myself everyday and flaunting my cute clothes. I needed to find a subject that I was more proud of. Well Friday this week I bought a FLIP video camera... I dont know why exactly. I have just been in a mood to create these days.. anything and everything. And (as inspired by a recent project of one of my friends) I wanted to document life and create from that. I was pleased by the footage I got and figured that I could make a cool clip from it.. but then I thought, why stop there? I should document my life every week if I really want to create.. thus the blog.
